Everything forever is a prototype user driven database of physical things.
By registering things and their data you adopt a more responsible, accountable and long-term relationship between you and your belongings.
“The elements were here before us, and they will survive us when we are no longer here. The iron in the legs of a chair was made billions of years before we were born, and the concrete artpiece I was given at my housewarming, will most likely survive both myself and my children.”
The database assigns an unique digital ID which can be physically added to your thing.
The ID leads finders to a website that contains information about current and past owners, manufacturer, origin, material and repairs over the years.
Everything Forever is a vision of a circular economic system, where even manufacturers will begin to register their products and materials and take long-term responsibility for what they bring into the world.
www.everythingforever.org is open for everybody, who can create a profile and begin to register their property.
Everything Forever was created by Rune Brink Hansen for the Exhibitions “Show me the money” at Roskilde Museum of contemporary arts.
